How Does ANPR Parking Management System Works?
Vehicle Detection and Image Capture:
When no hardware trigger is installed, ANPR cameras and software can independently detect vehicles and capture their images. Alternatively, a hardware trigger can be used. In this case, when the vehicle reaches the sensor, it activates the ANPR camera, initiating image capture. The IR illuminator ensures optimal image quality, both during the day and at night.
License Plate Recognition:
OCR-enabled ANPR/ALPR software reads the license plate characters from the captured image and converts them into Unicode text.
Data Processing:
Based on the ANPR results, the system can automate actions, such as opening a boom barrier in parking facilities or at highway tolls. With an integrated computer system, number plate data can also be automatically processed to send alerts to management or relevant departments about stolen or suspicious vehicles.
